This is really cool. Target has launched an e-commerce store front called Target Awesome Shop featuring its own products that are most often pinned on Pinterest and have the top reviews on Target.com. The site is refreshed daily to keep up with real-time trends and is looking to possibly include other social media platforms in the future. It's no secret that buying decisions often come from recommendations. With the holidays approaching and as more and more people look to avoid the malls and buy online, it would seem that this was launched at the perfect time. Take a look!

Mercedes-Benz Uses Instagram in "Take The Wheel" Campaign

Mercedes-Benz has a new target market in mind for its latest campaign: Millennials. How do you market a $30,000 Mercedes-Benz CLA to a group that may not know it's in their price range? With an Instagram contest, of course. It's no secret that Instagram's filters and instant accessibility have only fueled Gen Y's image consciousness. Using this as its platform, Mercedes-Benz has recruited the five best and most well-known "Instagrammers" to tour the United States in a 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 four-door coupe and photograph their travels along the way. The photographer with the most "likes" will win a three-year lease on the vehicle. But that's not all - the average Joe Schmoe can get in on the action by submitting their Instagram account to "CLATakeTheWheel.com." Smash Figurines with Skittles

Skittles advertising has always been a little…weird. Eye-catching and attention-grabbing to say the least. So it comes as no surprise that its latest spot involves smashing strange figurines which then turn into Skittles. This interactive video in particular offers viewers something else though - an opportunity to pick which figurines get smashed. Simply click on the individual figurines to see what happens. Pretty cool!

"Like" Pepsi, Get Pepsi

This may the simplest, yet most effective way to get people to "like" your brand's page on Facebook. There have been a lot technological advances to vending machines lately and brands are using them to their fullest marketing advantage. Recently we showed you Diet Coke's "World's Thinnest Vending Machine" and Coca Cola's "Small World Vending Machines." In true competitive fashion, archival Pepsi has released its own vending machine that keeps things simple. "Like" us on Facebook and get a free Pepsi. It was introduced at a Beyonce concert in Antwerp, Belgium and it was a huge hit. Pepsi currently has over 16 million Facebook followers. Look for that number to increase as these vending machines are introduced in other countries. (Via)
